Strange Dawn

Genre: Drama
Score: OK

Two schoolgirls are transported to a world of chibis. These miniature people have their own troubles, not least of which is a simmaring war between two expansive countries. They call the giant girls “Grand Saviours”, and variously revere them, try to kill them or capture them, or coerce them into joining their side.

No matter how serious this story tries to be, no matter how well some characters are developed, no matter how many of them die, it’s hard to take the characters’ troubles seriously when they’re all under two foot high.

Quite well made with some inventive touches, but nothing stellar.
