Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles

Genre: Shounen
Score: OK
Length: Indefinitely ongoing

If you liked Naruto, you’ll like the sequel. It’s set a few years later, and the characters are slightly less childish, but in many ways it’s the same. At the very least, it signals the end to the 30+ weeks of filler that have been tormenting Naruto fans. As with everything Naruto, an ordinary fight takes three episodes, and recaps are longer than they need to be.

If you’ve seen the first dozen episodes of Naruto, enough to know what it’s about, it’s actually possible to jump straight to Hurricane Chronicles without missing much – as long as you accept that stuff has happened, you can get into the new story without worrying too much about it.
