A clumsy, kind rich girl shares a strange connection with an assassin in a nearby country. Chance seems to be conspiring to bring them together, while placing them in the sights of a conspiracy.

This series shares something with Deus Ex 2, or the new Star Wars films: if it were possible to watch it without the slightest reference to Noir, then it would have a fair chance of being called good. Unfortunately, the parallels with the previous anime from the same team are so strong that watching it means constantly thinking “Noir did that better” and “She’s good, but she’s no Mireille”.

It does have wonderful music, of course. As does everything else with a soundtrack by Kajiura Yuki.
